The policy landscape around cannabis sativa has limited the development of a robust body of research on the science of hemp and human health.

However, a recent meta-evaluation of existing studies on the physiological effects of cannabinoids by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine cited hemp extract’s potential for modulating pain and inflammation, and providing relief for a range of neurological and physical afflictions.

Anecdotally, we like it for its perceived utility regarding pain, inflammation, anxiety, and sleep. As the outdated regulatory environment is brought into better balance, we look forward to even more sophisticated and well-resourced studies illuminating the hemp – human health nexus.
