The people made the weekend

Why it matters beyond the tent

Some weekends remind you exactly why you do this. Taste of MN was one of them. For two days, our dining tent was full — really full — with people who came hungry for good food, stayed for the music, and ended up at our bar asking questions we love to answer. What is this? Is that real tea? Wait, there’s THC in a Club Soda? By the second pour, most of them weren’t asking anymore. They were ordering seconds.
We could talk about the lineup all day (and we will, in a minute), but the truth is the best part of Taste of MN wasn’t what was in the cup. It was who was holding it. A dad who’d never tried a THC beverage before, standing next to his adult daughter, comparing notes on the Energy Tonic like they’d both just discovered something exciting. A group of friends who’d road-tripped in from Duluth just for the weekend, splitting a flight of teas between them because nobody could agree on a favorite. A bartender from another vendor who came by on her break just to ask how we make the Relax Tonic taste like that.
This is the thing about Minnesota — people show up for each other, and they show up curious. Taste of MN gave us two full days of exactly that kind of curiosity, multiplied by a packed tent and zero lulls.
The full-bar dining tent was the heartbeat of the whole event, and it showed. With the entire lineup in front of them — Energy and Relax Tonics, the Teas, the Seltzers and the Gummies — people had room to actually explore instead of settling for whatever was closest. The Energy Tonic (10mg THC, 5mg CBG, green tea extract) was a natural favorite for the daytime crowd looking for something bright without the crash. As the sun dropped and the music picked up, we watched the room shift toward Relax and the Black Cherry seltzer — proof that people know their own rhythm, even if they’ve never had the tools to follow it before.
The teas did what they always do: quietly convert skeptics. Real tea, low sugar, low calorie, and just enough THC to take the edge off a long day standing in the sun — it’s an easy yes, even for first-timers who walked up unsure they’d like anything on the menu.
Every conversation at that bar was a small act of destigmatization. Someone’s first hemp beverage, poured by someone who could explain exactly what’s in it and why — that’s the whole mission, happening one cup at a time. Moments like this are also why we keep showing up to advocate at the state and federal level: because when people actually experience what responsibly regulated hemp products can be, “regulate, don’t ban” stops being a slogan and starts making obvious sense.
To everyone who stopped by, asked questions, brought a friend back the next day, or just told us this was their favorite booth at the whole event — thank you. Weekends like this are exactly why Stigma exists: built by family, for the people who start to feel like family the moment they pull up a stool.
